Shou Umeya's pals have observed peculiar behavior in him while he rushes back home after class, suspecting he's devoting all his time to a mysterious gal. But in reality, his focus is on the charming and accident-prone Yoshiharu "Sakura" Sakuragaoka. Their paths meet when Sakura requests Umeya's assistance to track down a black cat that has gone missing. Sakura implored him to keep their search discreet from their landlord, and since that day, Umeya has been keeping Sakura's trust by visiting and playing with the cat whenever he desires. However, the primary objective of his visits has altered, and Umeya is now smitten with his timid and delightful new neighbor.
