From MangaHelpers: The story begins in 1420, right as what would be known as the Bohemian War began. A young girl named Sharka is raped and left for dead among the corpses of her whole town, but she manages to survive. She is picked up by the Bohemian forces, who put a gun in her hands and take her on board as a soldier. Will Sharka be able to fight and take her vengeance?
The story is set in a pawn shop in a working-class neighborhood, Shitamachi, and it follows Shinobu and Aki, two people fascinated by sparkling jewels metaphorically "born from an distant ancient Earth."

Present day, present time. For some reason, rare newborns get swapped with the newborns from another world. They have the features of legendary creatures(like dwarves, oni, harpies etc), however, they lack the abilities of their legendary predeccesors. Our heroine, an elf girl Kazamori suffered through her childhood because other kids expected her to wield magic like a true elf. She tries to uphold her "magic user" image in high school but the person who finds out her secret is an ordinary human who practices magic-like science.
