But, despite his unwell disposition, Walter was tasked with investigating the strange phenomenon of "literature," which infected people and transformed them into demons. As Walter became increasingly skeptical of his samurai responsibilities, his symptoms intensified. Finally, succumbing to the temptation of the forbidden "literature," Walter snuck into the Monastery's safe-keeping to read the confiscated book. As the pages unfolded before him, the very foundations of his home - the kingdom - started to crumble away.
