The Temple of El Alamein is a compilation of World War II short stories from the perspective of the German military personnel. As the saying goes, the winner writes history, and these stories are the untold, unwritten part of the history of WWII. Taking place between 1940 and 1945, when the war was at its most violent peak, each story takes place in a different part of the world where Germans were fighting. One story takes place in Egypt where soldiers find an ancient ruin that prove the existence of dinosaurs that helped build the Great Pyramids. Another story tells how one German fighter jet was able to take down a B-47 Stratojet 40,000 ft. in the air, far above what a fighter jet could achieve at the time.
Sai Suzuzono, chief of the Science Club, spends all of her time developing crazy experiments to satisfy her curiosity, like a real "mad scientist." The only one involved in the security of her antics is Ren Nagakura, the class committee chairman; but Ren, despite being the class chairman, is also little out-of-sync with other people (meaning: she's an idiot). And with her, Sai's weird experiments always turn out even weirder...
The story is set in the year 2050, in a place called Sky City Tokyo. The main character, Park, is a window cleaner. If you've ever experienced those street windshield washers that descend upon your car when you stop at a red light, you can imagine what Park does for a living. Except worse, because in Sky City Tokyo, the cars travel in mid-air! How does a window cleaner become a hero?

But to hunt down those descendants, she needs money. For money, she needs a job. Days in the office, nights out hunting. No wonder she can't stay awake!
The protagonist begins to get involved with the most beautiful girl in school, who is famous for her cold attitude, and slowly becomes attracted to her. That protagonist finds himself in a consulting relationship with a plain girl in glasses at his part-time job. He doesn't realize that the girl he is consulting is the same girl he is in love with, and just keeps telling her about his growing feelings while continuing to fall in love with her. The heroine realizes that the person he is in love with is herself, and although she is embarrassed by the protagonist's feelings, she gradually becomes attracted to him.
Youth is so embarrassing that she wants to die! An elegy of a completely “self-conscious” person. Being too focused on what other people think of her... will Asukawa be able to peacefully live her high school life?!
