From Tokyopop: After a generation of warfare, the Gundam boys finally secured a peace between Earth and the colonies by helping to defeat the Oz and White Fang armies. Now, out of the rubble, the surviving soldiers are re-emerging and clustering together into new factions. Blind Target is originally a radio drama that got translated into manga. It is one of the possible events that took place between the series itself and the OVA, Endless Waltz. Other manga titles that also delve into the possible events between the series and the OVA are Battlefield of Pacifists and Ground Zero. All three remain unrelated to one another.

According to Sumisawa (author), the events of Episode Zero were supposed to appear in the TV series, just after episode 27. But due to complications in the production schedule, things didn't go as planned and it was eventually omitted. Episode Zero was created per Ikeda Masashi's (director) request.
